Looking Ahead to 2026
There’s something about the start of a new year that makes everything feel a little more possible. As I look ahead to 2026, I feel grounded, excited, and genuinely grateful for what’s coming—both in my personal life and in my business.
First and foremost, I’m looking forward to watching my girls grow. Every year they change in ways that feel both exciting and bittersweet, and 2026 holds a big milestone for our family: my daughter Bevie starts kindergarten. I know it’s going to be one of those moments where pride and emotion collide. I’m excited to see her step into this new chapter, make friends, and discover who she’s becoming.
I’m also really looking forward to more quality time as a family. Weekend getaways—nothing too fancy, just time away together—are high on my list. A change of scenery, slower mornings, and making memories outside of our normal routine are things I want to prioritize more this year.
Along with family time, I’m hoping to carve out more date nights with my husband. Life gets busy, especially when you’re juggling kids, work, and everything in between, but those one-on-one moments matter. If you have favorite spots for dinner, drinks, or a fun night out in the La Crosse, WI area, I’d love your recommendations.
Creatively, 2026 feels like a big year for me. I’m stepping into a new season as both a photographer and a podcaster. I’m incredibly excited to be launching my podcast and seeing where it takes me. It feels a little scary (in a good way), but I’m ready to share conversations, stories, and ideas that have been living in my head for a long time. I don’t have all the answers yet—and that’s part of the excitement.
Photography continues to be such a meaningful part of my life and business. I already have six weddings booked for 2026, and I’m so excited to celebrate alongside those couples and tell their stories. I also have ideas brewing for mini sessions throughout the year, and I can’t wait to bring those plans to life. One of my favorite parts of this job is reconnecting with my regular clients—watching their families grow, documenting new seasons—and meeting new people along the way.
As I look ahead, I feel motivated, inspired, and thankful for the community that supports my work. 2026 feels like a year of growth, creativity, and connection, and I’m excited to see where it all leads.
Here’s to a year of big moments, small joys, and everything in between!
Cheers,
Brooke
